Crystal Lake is a community of former fishing cabins surrounding a forested lake near Woodinville, Washington.
This three bedroom house replaces a failing cabin, long owned by the client, with a new home comprising 2,600 sf plus a 300 sf guest suite over the detached garage.
The skewed plan allows the house to relate well to the street while orienting for the best views of the lake.
The light filled interior opens up to the protected entry court and the lakeside patio in keeping with the informal, friendly nature of the community.
